Both of our directors are experienced senior creatives and when you start a conversation with Coast & Co it will be one of them you’ll speak to. They’ll take your brief, listen to your challenges, goals and objectives, before presenting a powerful solution.
With strengths at both ends of the design spectrum, our directors balance skill-sets, challenge viewpoints, bounce ideas and keep each other up-to-date on all projects in the studio.
Graphic Design
We’re a boutique graphic design studio specialising in identity creation and strategic brand development. We deliver bespoke design solutions to our clients throughout New Zealand from our office in Napier, Hawke’s Bay.
At Coast & Co we’ve simplified the traditional agency structure to arrive at a simple, transparent and effective process that allows our clients to talk directly with the designer. By streamlining communication channels we become an important external resource for our clients: gathering insights; undertaking research; and applying our knowledge to a design-led process.
Brand, Identity & Logo Development
Our process allows us to deliver a tailored graphic response efficiently – one that increases our clients’ presence in the market, enhancing the way they communicate with their customers, and most importantly, making a great impression.
Our passion is in creating bold identities for our clients – nurturing a single idea to a mark on paper or pixels on screen. However, crafting a strong identity is only the beginning of a brand story, the platform from which to build and roll out collateral in print and digitally forms the strategy.
Visual Communications
A company’s visual communication material is a large part of what we do. This includes everything from annual reports and multiple-page documents, business stationery to vehicle livery, to digital design for websites and social media.
By watching over our clients’ brands we witness them growing in the marketplace, then adapt their assets accordingly to reflect the evolution of their business and how it resonates with customers. It is only after time that we become our clients’ brand guardians and design specialists, a relationship that is important to us as our success is measured by the success of our clients.
Jason Juno
Design Director
Jason’s passion lies in creating visual identities supported by strong brands, backed up by well thought through visual strategies. He doesn’t shy away from the dirty work and has a quirky enthusiasm for laying out financial reports.
Jason built up his experience working for a design agency in Wellington servicing local businesses, government agencies and large multi-nationals. He was also a senior creative at a Hawke’s Bay based advertising agency focused on the primary sector.
Rachel Juno
Creative Director
Rachel’s strengths lie in the art of conceptual thinking and creativity. For her, the tactile nature and craft of design is an exciting part of being a designer – don’t get her started on the endless possibilities of paper stocks and print finishes!
Some of Rachel’s most exciting explorations in print can be seen in art gallery catalogues and press advert design. Rachel’s experience comes from working in design studios in Wellington and Napier where she worked on boutique creative projects through to large brand implementations.
